FAQ

How do you see clients?

Revival Integrative Health is a virtual, integrative medical practice, and you will be seen through a video based platform.

Can you be my PCP?

We are considered a consultative practice and recommend that you maintain a relationship with a local PCP for preventative screening, annual physicals, and acute symptoms not appropriate for management via telemedicine.

Do you offer support between appointments?

Questions related to the current treatment plan or scheduling that require a brief response are always welcome. Lab result discussion, changes in medication or supplements, or any other inquiry that requires review of your chart will need to be scheduled as a follow up visit. If you feel you would be best supported with more frequent communication, we invite you to explore our option for concierge care.

Do you prescribe pharmaceutical medication?

Yes, but in our experience most health issues can be addressed through a combination of nutrition and lifestyle modification, with supportive herbs and targeted nutrients to address the root cause of your problem. It is our goal to provide you with a treatment plan that is not only safe and effective, but accessible and attainable within the context of your personal life. There are however many circumstances where including a pharmaceutical is the best and safest course of treatment, and we are fully licensed to prescribe when appropriate.

Do you recommend supplements?

Yes, many of our treatment plans will include a nutritional supplement or herbal medicine. These types of recommendations will be sent to you via our Fullscript Dispensary, which gives you access to a wide variety of professional-grade products. We are happy to extend a generous discount to you when purchasing through this platform. You may be able to purchase items on Fullscript using your HSA/FSA card.

Do you just swap out my prescriptions for supplements?

Green Allopathy is the term used to describe the practice of medicine in which ‘a pill for every ill’ logic is still used, but supplements are substituted for pharmaceutical prescriptions. This is a common pitfall of new providers seeking to practice more holistically. Amanda and Jessica both hold advanced certifications which enable them to work closely with each patient to uncover the root causes behind their challenges, and support the body to lasting health, reducing the reliance on both supplements or pharmaceuticals.

Do you accept health insurance?

No. In an effort to provide you with the best care, free of the pressures and influence of insurance policies, we provide care outside of the insurance model, in a ‘cash pay’ structure. If your insurance plan allows for you to submit documentation of out-of-network care for reimbursement, per your plan’s benefits, we can provide necessary documentation, known as a superbill. This document is sent to your insurance company claims department, and they will issue any covered portion of your expense directly to you. Learn more about submitting to insurance.

Can my insurance be used for labs?

Typically labs performed though Quest or Labcorp can be billed to your insurance company, however specialty labs such as DUTCH, or Genova Diagnostics panels are not routinely covered.

Do you profit from labs, supplements sales or other recommendations?

We do not profit from any lab orders. When purchasing supplements through Fullscript, we choose to extend the majority of our potential profit margin to you. This results in the lowest possible prices for our patients on supplements. We do also earn a small commission from these sales. We also have affiliate relationships with several companies with products and services we believe in and recommend frequently. You will see these companies on our website with affiliate links to purchase. You will never pay more for an item when purchasing through our affiliate links. Affiliate commissions help offset costs of business and allow us to continue offering the best value in integrative medical care.
